About Alejandra Cruz

Hi! I'm Alejandra. I've had the opportunity to work with children, young people, and adults, and although I have a special interest in youth psychology, I also really enjoy working with adults and supporting them through different moments in their lives. During my training and my experience in practice, I've worked with difficulties related to anxiety, self-esteem, emotional regulation, grief, and mood disorders. Although you don't always need a diagnosis to come to therapy. Sometimes we're going through situations that cause us distress, there are things we find hard to manage, or we simply want to change some aspect of our lives. I work mainly from a cognitive-behavioral approach and place great importance on psychological assessment. Before proposing an intervention, I consider it essential to get to know each person's history, their environment, and what factors may be influencing what they're experiencing. From there, we can set therapeutic goals and work with strategies adapted to their needs. I consider myself a warm and empathetic person, and for me it's important that there is trust in the therapeutic relationship. I want you to feel comfortable, to bring any questions to me, and to understand why we're working on each aspect, taking an active part in therapy.
