What it involves

It is a complete clinical assessment that combines an interview with the psychologist, standardised tests and their professional judgement. At the end you know whether or not you have ADHD, what explains what you are going through and what the next steps are. All from home, 100% online.

A rigorous method

Clinical interview, standardised tests and the psychologist's professional judgement. It never rests on a single instrument.

From home

No travel and flexible hours: you book the sessions when it suits you.

An officially recognised diagnostic report

An officially recognised diagnostic report in less than two weeks, with recommendations and a treatment plan.

Who it is for

  • Adults who have long had difficulties with attention, organisation or restlessness and wonder whether it could be ADHD.
  • Adults who were not assessed as children and now notice these difficulties affecting their work, studies or relationship.
  • People who live far away or abroad, or who would rather do it from home.
  • People who need an officially recognised diagnostic report to request accommodations at school, university or work.

For adults only (18 or over).

Signs that may point to ADHD

You don't need to "have" any of these signs to ask for the assessment: finding out is exactly what it is for. They are situations you may recognise yourself in, not a self-diagnosis test.

Attention and organisation

  • You find it hard to stay focused on long or dull tasks, in meetings or in class.
  • You make careless mistakes or miss details.
  • You find it hard to get organised, judge time and finish what you start.
  • You leave tasks that take mental effort until the last minute.
  • You often lose things (keys, phone, wallet) and forget commitments.
  • Any noise or notification pulls you away from what you are doing.

Restlessness and impulsivity

  • You feel restless inside, as if you were "driven by a motor".
  • You fidget with your hands or legs and find it hard to keep still.
  • You talk a lot, interrupt or finish other people's sentences.
  • You answer before the question is finished and find it hard to wait your turn.

Is an online assessment reliable?

What makes a diagnosis valid is not where it takes place but the method: the clinical interview, the standardised tests and the professional judgement behind them.
  • It uses the international reference diagnostic criteria for ADHD.
  • The assessment is multimodal: interview, developmental history and objective tests.
  • A differential diagnosis rules out other explanations for the symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, trauma or sleep problems.
  • Sessions take place on a secure platform and your data is handled confidentially.
  • If your case needs an in-person examination or a referral to another professional, the psychologist tells you openly.

What you get: the official diagnostic report

At the end you receive an officially recognised diagnostic report in digital format, written and signed by the psychologist who assessed you. You can download it from your space. It includes:

  • The reason for the assessment and a summary of the tests carried out.
  • The results of each test, with charts, and their interpretation.
  • The differential diagnosis: what has been ruled out and why.
  • Officially recognised diagnostic report.
  • Recommendations and a treatment plan: psychological treatment, whether a medical assessment is advisable, and accommodations at school, university or work.

Frequently asked questions

Is an ADHD diagnosis made online valid?+
Yes, as long as it is carried out by a registered psychologist following a complete assessment process. What makes it valid is the method, not the place.
What do I need for the tests at home?+
A computer (a phone or tablet won't work), a stable internet connection, a keyboard, speakers or headphones and a quiet place.
How long will the tests take?+
About 1 hour in total: the cognitive ability test takes up to 45 minutes and the attention test about 20. Each is done in one sitting.
How long does the whole process take?+
There are 3 online sessions of 50 minutes and two tests at home that add up to about 1 hour. The time between sessions depends on the psychologist's availability and on when you take the tests.
How long will it take to get the diagnostic report?+
It can vary, but it usually takes less than two weeks.
Do I need to have someone with me?+
No. A relative who has known you since childhood can help you remember what you were like, but it is not required.
What if I take medication for attention?+
Mention it to the psychologist before the tests and they will tell you how to proceed.
What if I don't have ADHD?+
The report explains that too: what has been ruled out, what may explain what you are going through and what the recommendations are.
Can I use the report to request accommodations?+
It is an officially recognised diagnostic report with recommended accommodations for studies or work. Each institution decides which documents it accepts.
Will you prescribe medication?+
No. The psychologist does not prescribe medication. If needed, the report recommends a medical assessment.
What happens after the report?+
In the feedback session the psychologist explains the results and the recommendations. If therapy is needed, you can book it separately; if a medical assessment is advisable, the report says so. The report stays in your space and you can download it whenever you like.
What if the email with the link doesn't arrive?+
Check your spam folder. If it isn't there, write to info@wearepsycho.com or message your psychologist in the chat and we will help.
