Why a penguin?

Penguins are unique animals. They walk awkwardly, different from the rest, but when they dive into the water, they become true masters of movement. They're social, but they can also feel lonely. Also, our penguin has two X's on its eyes. A symbol that can represent many things: the feeling of disconnection, of not fitting in, of feeling invisible or even overwhelmed. It's also associated with death, but for us it symbolizes rebirth.

At Psycho, we want you to know you're not alone. Whoever you are, whatever you feel, this space is for you.
OUR TEAM

Who We Are

At Psycho, we believe everyone has their own internal battles. We're all a little psycho, and that doesn't make us weak, it makes us human.

I am a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with young people, adults and their families. I trained at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Tavistock Clinic in London, and hold qualifications in psychoanalytic psychotherapy (ACPP), Mentalization-Based Treatment for Families (MBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I specialize in supporting people with anxiety, autism and behavioral disorders, and have worked in the United Kingdom for over 10 years (NHS-CAMHS London) and as a coordinator at a center in Barcelona. Today I combine my clinical work with motherhood, which gives me a close perspective on emotional challenges. This is why We Are Psycho was born, a quality online platform to accompany you. Taking the first step is already important: here we will work together to turn your challenges into an opportunity for growth.

I am a Licensed Psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist, graduated from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (Argentina) and registered in Catalonia (COPC). I have over ten years of training and experience in the mental health field. I offer online psychotherapy for Spanish-speaking people located in different countries. I work from a psychoanalytic approach, understanding that distress is singular, yet inscribed within a relational, social, and cultural history. In therapy, I offer a space of careful listening, where words and the body are fundamental axes of the therapeutic work. I accompany each process with attention, respect, and commitment, guiding interventions to think together with the person about their current difficulties and to open questions that allow finding new ways to approach them.

Do you feel that emotional discomfort is preventing you from being who you really are—at work, with others, and with yourself? Not observing what emotions you experience means you don't manage them, and these emotions become entrenched, appear at moments when they shouldn't, and make you feel disconnected from yourself, apathetic, and even anxious. Have you tried other therapies before and they didn't work? It is not your fault; likely what you tried wasn't the right approach for you or you weren't offered personalized support. If you want to receive treatment with the best scientific evidence and effectiveness we have to date, do not hesitate to contact me. I am Martí Rodríguez, a General Health Psychologist from Barcelona, and I believe in therapy that is warm, clear, and practical, where you feel accompanied from the very first moment.

I understand therapy as a space of safety, humility, and mutual respect. I specialize in Relational Psychotherapy based on attachment and bonding within humanistic therapies (training at the Instituto de Interacción / Comillas University), as well as holding specific training in Brief Psychotherapy and Trauma (IPSA Levante). My passion for understanding the complexity of human problems has led me to focus my practice on individual psychotherapy, placing special emphasis on the history and subjectivity of each person. My approach is integrative and holistic: I don't treat isolated symptoms, but accompany unique individuals. If you are looking for a space where you feel heard without judgment and work deeply on your wellbeing, it will be a privilege to accompany you.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about how Psycho works, what to expect from therapy, and how we handle privacy, payments, and appointments.

What is online therapy with Psycho exactly?
Psycho is a technology platform that connects you with your therapist. From it you can attend sessions, manage your schedule, and message your therapist in one place. For the best experience, we recommend a stable connection, a device with camera, and a private space.
Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?
Yes. Current scientific evidence shows that online therapy can be as effective as in-person therapy when it is clinically appropriate and delivered by qualified professionals.
How do I start therapy at Psycho?
You can start by booking a free 20-minute consultation or by requesting an appointment directly. Then you complete a short questionnaire, we show compatible therapist profiles, and you choose your professional, schedule, and first session. Once started, you receive a personalized care plan in the platform.
How much do sessions cost at Psycho?
Individual sessions have a base price of €60, and the first individual session has a 50% discount (€30). Some specialized formats may include supplements; you will always see the final price before booking and paying.
What should I do in an emergency or severe crisis?
Psycho is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, at risk of self-harm, having suicidal thoughts, or in danger of harming yourself or others, call emergency services immediately.
Do I need parent or guardian consent if I am a minor?
Yes. If you are under 18, we require explicit and verifiable consent from your parent or legal guardian, in line with current legislation and enhanced data protection safeguards.
How do you protect my privacy and personal data?
Privacy is a priority at Psycho. We process personal data to provide the service securely, using encrypted platforms and connections (SSL/TLS), strict access controls, and technical safeguards. Data is hosted in the European Union and retained according to applicable legal periods.
What is the cancellation or rescheduling policy?
You can cancel or modify a confirmed appointment with at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled time. When you cancel, you need to rebook the session. Appointments can be booked up to one month in advance.
