About Melanie Olvera Ventura
I am a psychologist graduated from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, with postgraduate studies from the Universidad Internacional de Valencia. I provide psychological care to children, adolescents, adults, and families from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, integrating tools from schema therapy, strategic brief therapy, and attachment theories. I believe that each person comes to therapy with a unique story. Therefore, my work focuses on building a safe space, based on empathy, where we can understand how each individual's experiences have influenced their way of thinking, feeling, and relating, promoting the development of resources to face difficulties in a more flexible way and in line with each person's values. From this approach, I accompany processes related to anxiety, depression, difficulties in emotional regulation, family conflicts, decision making, and development of skills to cope with difficult situations. Additionally, I accompany mothers, fathers, and caregivers in developing respectful parenting, strengthening parental competencies and family bonds to respond sensitively to the emotional and developmental needs of children and adolescents.
