Online therapy

Online therapy, with someone who fits you

Licensed psychologists, by video, from wherever you are. We suggest who best fits what you tell us, and you choose. Here is what it is like, what it costs and what it is not.

What therapy at We Are Psycho is

Fifty-minute video sessions with a licensed psychologist, chosen by you from those who best fit what you need. Always the same person, with a plan that gets reviewed, and a clinical director who selects and supervises the team.

It is not a messaging app or a chat with strangers. It is therapy, with the same confidentiality and ethical rules as an in-person practice, with the advantage that you can do it from home and change professional if it does not fit.

How it works, step by step

  1. 1

If you have questions about the service, ask first

A free 20-minute information call with our clinical director to answer questions and point you in the right direction. It is not a therapy session and it is not required: you can go straight to the next step.

  2. 2

We suggest who to see, and why

You tell us who the therapy is for and what worries you. We order the psychologists by who fits you best and explain why that person comes first. You choose: you see their profile, their registration number and their real availability.

  3. 3

    A 50-minute first session

You book the day and time that suits you and pay when you book. In the first session you talk about what is going on, since when, and decide together how to continue. If it does not fit, you change professional with no explanations.

  4. 4

    Follow-up from your account

Afterwards you book whenever suits you, usually weekly or fortnightly. From your account you manage appointments, message your therapist between sessions and receive the resources they assign you.

Who it is for

What a session is like

By video, from wherever you are
You need a quiet place, a connection and a device with a camera. The room opens from your account, nothing to install.
50 minutes
The usual length of a psychotherapy session. The first one too.
Always the same person
Your therapist accompanies you session after session. If it does not fit, you change, and the new person receives the necessary context with your permission.
Usually weekly
You agree the frequency between you depending on what you are working on. It is usually weekly at first; then whatever is needed.
No need to prepare
You do not need to know how to explain what is going on. Showing up is enough; the rest is built in the session.

How we work

With evidence-based approaches, adapted to each person and not the other way round. Every professional on the team is licensed, was selected by the clinical director and works under her supervision. The guides and the rest of the clinical content we publish are that same director's responsibility.

Clinical direction: Ainhoa Corbera (COPC 11250).

What it is not

  • It is not emergency or in-person care. If you are in danger now, the numbers below answer.
  • It is not a service for expert reports, sick leave or diagnoses for third parties.
  • It is not psychiatry or medication: that is prescribed by medical staff. If needed, we coordinate.
  • Someone under 18 does not sign up alone: a responsible adult chooses, books and pays, and the teenager has their own space.

In immediate danger, call 911. If you have suicidal thoughts, call 800 911 2000 (Línea de la Vida). We Are Psycho does not provide emergency care.

Frequently asked questions

Does online therapy work as well as in person?
For most of the problems we treat, clinical guidelines consider video therapy a valid option, with comparable results when done with a qualified professional and a plan. What changes is convenience: no travel, and it is easier to keep going.
Is it confidential?
Yes, with the same ethical and legal obligations as an in-person practice. What you say in session is private, with the exceptions the law sets out, and your therapist explains them in the first session.
What if the person you suggest does not fit?
You change. You can choose any other professional from the list and, if you want, the new person receives the necessary context with your permission. You do not have to explain.
Can I change or cancel an appointment?
Yes, from your account, with the notice shown when you book. Outside that window the session is charged, because your therapist's time was reserved for you.
How do I pay?
By card, when you book each session. The invoice goes to your account. No fees, no commitment.
